At the Threshold devotion: Saturday March 22

Share: A moment from today when you felt close to God, and a moment when you felt far from God.

Reflect: on a week thinking about water. When did you see the Spirit through water? When did you long for a moment beside God’s still waters? When did you offer a stream of living water to another? Is there a scripture passage that comes to mind when you think about water? Find it (google is your friend!) and read it over slowly, letting it sink into the soil of your heart.

Learn: 85% of the human population lives on the driest half of the planet. 783 million people do not have access to clean water. 80% of the water used worldwide does not get treated…meaning it flows untreated into streams, rivers, and oceans. Visit water.org, unwater.org, or livingwatersfortheworld.org to learn more.

Pray: Get a blue or green pen, crayon, marker, or pencil, and decorate this page with beautiful flowing water. Write on the ripples or waves those things for which you are grateful, and listen for God’s call to you through the water.
