Presbyterian Women

All women of PCOP are members of Presbyterian Women (PW) and are invited and encouraged to attend a PW Circle, assist in PW mission projects and fundraisers, join our social gatherings, and take part in the annual retreat.

There are currently two Circles that meet on the third Saturday of each month for Bible study and fellowship. One Circle meets in person on church property, practicing social distancing and following state Covid guidelines. Another Circle meets via Zoom.

Prior to Covid, PW held three major fundraisers: a spring and a fall rummage sale and a Christmas Cookie Walk. As protocols change we are looking forward to resuming these events. All proceeds from fundraisers go to local church needs and missions.

Fellowship events include a “Chick Flick” night (dinner and a movie), Circle brunches and luncheons, and summer gatherings in members’ homes.

The PW yearly retreat was resumed this spring at St. Mary’s of the Lake in Mundelein and was a weekend of study, reflection, and bonding with our sisters in Christ. We returned to our daily lives and responsibilities relaxed and renewed.

Come and join our inclusive and caring women, and make friendships that will last a lifetime!
