Welcome to our front porch--the place for sharing news, seeing what's going on, resting a while, meeting new people, and maybe sometimes peeking into the house. From this vantage point you can hop right over the doorstep or you can linger a while enjoying the view. One of the most important pieces of our faith tradition is the practice of hospitality--we believe every person that we come in contact with is a child of God, made in the image of God, our brother and sister in Christ, and we welcome you as we welcome Jesus in our midst.
On Sundays we worship together at 10am. At 11-ish there's a time of coffee and conversation, and choir rehearsal begins at 11:30. A nursery staffed by trained volunteers is available for pre-kindergarten aged children. Children are always welcome in worship!
THIS WEEKEND: OCTOBER 1/2, WORLD COMMUNION
This week our ONLY worship service will be on Saturday, October 1, at 6pm--with a potluck dinner and communion around tables, and music provided by a jazz trio. We will also receive the Peace and Global Witness Offering, 25% of which will be designated to FACE-IT, to support young men getting their lives back on track. Bring a dish to share, if you are able, and come worship God as we break bread together. (If you aren't able to bring a dish, simply bring yourself! All are welcome, no reservations necessary.)
THERE WILL BE NO SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE ON OCTOBER 2
Instead you are invited to worship Saturday evening, then spend the morning practicing Sabbath, resting in God's care and enjoying God's creation.
The front lawn is a community garden, with produce being donated to the food pantry--follow the progress in the gallery! If you'd like to help with weeding, harvesting, planting, watering, or any other aspect of helping to feed our neighbors from our abundant land, please contact Lyn!
